Lamborghini Aventador SV
BRAND NEW V12 sticks with 6.5 litres but gets massively oversquare internal dimensions for unheard-of response. New ISR paddle-shift 'box is quick but brutal and there’s no manual option. Aventador brings Lamborghini’s chassis tech bang up to date – core is a carbon monocell, bookended by aluminium sub-frames that can be easily replaced in a smash. Suspension gets fancy pushrod dampers, but only the SV’s are adaptive. Donckerwolke had departed to Seat, leaving new design head Felippo Perini to create the body, which was hinted at by the earlier Murcielago-based Reventon. Roadster version had lift out panels, not Murcie’s farcical canvas cap.
