What is the point of fitting tachometers to, probably, every car on sale? Only a few years ago they were found only in sports cars and grand tourers.
Now they are in the cheapest Suzuki and Hyundai. Why? How often would the driver of an economy hatch ever look at it, let alone know what it means? A few years ago the same economy boxes sported ludicrous spoilers. These, thankfully, are now thin on the ground. Will tachos go the same way?
