Little Italian gets big price cut
AROUND half the price of a boggo Fiat 500 has been wiped from its Abarth 595 Competizione flagship, with falling sales cited as a reason for culling $8010 (!) from the crazy Italian hatch. It now asks $31,990 plus on-road costs, and keeps its Monza exhaust, Koni adaptive suspension, Brembo brakes and leather interior. The 1.4-litre turbo even gets a boost from 118kW/230Nm to 132kW/250Nm. It lowers the 0-100km/h from 7.4sec to a Polo GTI-matching 6.7sec.
