SUV SORROW

Motor (Australia) - - FRONT END | LETTERS -

A mate lent me February’s issue of MOTOR to read for some extra reading during iso times, and I have to say that I’m in complete agreement with you on the topic of SUVs. I find them as boring as bat shit!

The reason a lot of people bought them in the first place was the fact you could see over the traffic. Now there’s so many of them on the road that it defeats

the purpose. I’m all for a nice sedan, coupe or wagon, and there’s some great looking examples out there at the moment.

Keep up the great magazine and hopefully it doesn’t get flooded with SUV stories down the track.

Bob Doyle, via email Our second comment now almost endorsing performance SUVs, but it must be said if you were made to buy one, you’re unlikely to be too disappointed by the current crop. And they’re only getting better. Just go in with eyes wide open that at some point you’ll wish the weight was lower in the car and there was less of it.
