“Loves back wheel” is the motto of the 50to01 crew and this month I’ve been emulating their style a little too closely (I am on a Santa Cruz, after all) and subjecting my rear wheel to rather a lot of abuse. The ‘Viagra Falls’ jump line at Wind Hill B1kepark has been the main culprit, with me sketchily shaking out my limited trick bag after a winter of sliding around at ground level. I’ve been having a laugh, but it’s time to retire the rear rim – an e*thirteen TRS, which has gone irreparably out of true and won’t take too many more sideways landers! www.santacruzbikes.co.uk
