Mountain Biking UK - - OUT FRONT -

Is this the fastest downhill bike on the planet? The Supreme DH 29 Team is a replica of the bike used by the Commencal/ Vallnord team to great success this season, with Amaury Pierron taking three rounds of the men’s World Cup on his way to the overall victory.

At the heart of this 200mmtravel bike is Commencal’s ‘HPP’ (High Pivot Point) suspension design, which combines a single pivot positioned high above the bottom bracket with a linkagedriven shock. A chain idler is used to combat pedal kickback, which would otherwise be dramatic with such a high pivot.

Commencal have used team input to refine the geometry and sti ness of the aluminium frame. It’s available in sizes medium to extra-large, with reach numbers that are modern without pushing the boundaries (470mm, large) and a 63.5-degree head angle.

The bike is fitted with a RockShox Super Deluxe coil shock and air-sprung BoXXer World Cup fork, plus SRAM’s Code R brakes and seven-speed GX DH transmission. It’s decked out with Spank finishing kit, including a bar and wheels filled with their proprietary ‘Vibrocore’ damping foam, and finished o with an e*thirteen crankset (not pictured) and chain guide.

Tipping the scales at a claimed 17.5kg and painted in team-replica colours, this bike could make you feel like a factory rider. £4,042.45 (inc. p&p)men
