“When I got the call that MBUK was interested in sponsoring me for the 1996 season, I was over the moon. The mag was massive and, wherever you went in the world, people knew the logo. I got to race in some amazing places, Hawaii and Cairns among them.

“My season started with a second place in Panticosa, Spain. I was a nobody on the World Cup circuit then and that result, along with the coverage from the mag, helped to set o my career. After a great season and all the mag publicity, I got recognised by a few major teams, GT being one of them. I snatched the opportunity and never looked back [Peaty went on to win three World Cup series and the 2009 World Champs ~ ed]. MBUK gave me the tools to succeed and forge my path in this sport. “After racing with the Santa Cruz Syndicate for 11 years, I stepped away from the start ramp at the end of 2016 and focused on my ambassador roles and being the head coach for the guys. I also spend time building Peaty’s Products, so life’s never dull.”
