In­ter­na­tional wins for Harry

MANS­FIELD’S 17-year-old snow­boarder Harry Green has had a great few weeks af­ter his suc­cess­ful top five fin­ish at The Men’s Open Cat­tle­men’s Rail Jam event held at Mt Buller.

His suc­cess­ful sea­son con­tin­ued with a first place fin­ish at the PlayS­ta­tion Night Se­ries slopestyle event held at Per­isher on July 27.

More re­cently he again trav­elled to Per­isher with a crew from Tran­si­tion Snow­board­ing to com­pete in the Aus­tralian Ju­nior Se­ries Cham­pi­onships.

Green took out both the slopestyle and half pipe events, with fel­low Tran­si­tion rider Joel Can­tle sec­ond.

Tran­si­tion Snow­board­ing team mem­ber and Mt Buller lo­cal, Luke Stavely, also took out first place in his di­vi­sion.

Green’s next big event will be next week when he com­petes in the Mile High Open Slopestyle event at Per­isher.

Many of the world’s best slopestyle snow­board­ers are trav­el­ling to Aus­tralia to com­pete in this event from Au­gust 26 to 28.
