Cow Camp gets new home and is bigger
FORMERLY known as Cow Camp, the new Village Square Plaza has almost doubled in size and is more visitor friendly than it ever was.
The ‘Plaza’ has been extended to incorporate the previous verandah spaces surrounding the building, a new central entrance off the northern side of the building makes for better access and a new staircase with top landing makes for easier entrance to both Pat’s Italian Restaurant and The Pancake Parlour and downstairs a new entrance to the ski hire has also been formed.
In the past week the visitor lounge area has been refurbished and teller machines etc moved back in.
The Plaza still provides the comfort station for visitors and on the outside the bus company will continue to operate from its usual depot.
Mt Buller Resort Management Board marketing manager, Amber Gardiner, said it was time the building had an overhaul and the new refurbished centre would give visitors a much better experience and welcome to the mountain.
“It has increased in size considerably and is warm and friendly to come into now without the awkward corner entrance - and it’s all about giving visitors to the mountain a great experience.”
The Village Square Plaza will be officially opened by resort chief executive officer, John Huber, at around 4.30pm on Saturday.
