Beesey is a legend in precision tuning

Mt Buller News - - FRONT PAGE - LEGENDS OF THE MOUNTAIN By Liz Webb

AT the highest level, ski and snowboard tuning can be the critical factor between life and death.

At intermediate level, well-tuned snow equipment can make or break your day on the slopes.

Find a gifted equipment tuner and you’re sure to notice immediate improvement in your style.

One of the best on the mountain is Nathan Beesey (always known as just ‘Beesey’), a very quiet but dedicated Mt Buller legend, who is well known and respected around the mountain.

Almost 15 years ago Beesey started in Arlberg’s Ski Hire, running it for five years.

When ‘Big Dave’ became the ski hire manager at Black Mountain, Beesey moved there to head up the workshop.

Beesey can run his hands along your skis and tell you exactly what’s wrong and what he can do to make your ride near perfect.

He’ll describe the special preparations required, then repair, grind, fill, wax and create perfect edges to suit your level.

And after all these years on the job, he’s still passionate about the magic he performs, no matter what your snow sport level.

It’s like watching an artist create a masterpiece.
