Snow much fun on Buller to continue this Spring
MT BULLER is getting set to turn up the fun this September as the resort celebrates the arrival of spring with plenty of great value deals and a colourful line-up of events on the horizon.
September is known for iconic spring events including the ABOM Mogul Challenge.
Spring is a fantastic time to visit Mt Buller, and visitors can enjoy a range of discounts, with up to 50 per cent off the peak season rates at many properties across the mountain, free overnight parking and up to 30 per cent off lift passes.
The first weekend of September is set to be an eventful one, as Mt Buller hosts the 2016 Australian Snow Uni Games and the annual ABOM Mogul Challenge.
From August 30 to September 3, hundreds of university students from across the country will gather at Mt Buller, when the 2016 Australian Snow Uni Games take place.
On September 3, visitors will see world-class freestylers and mogul enthusiasts tackle the bumps in a bid to win fantastic prizes during the annual ABOM Mogul Challenge.
See spectacular skiing in action on the purpose-built course, in an event not to be missed.
Mt Buller will revisit the neon-coloured glory days of the 1980s, when the annual ‘80s Day festivities hit the mountain on Saturday, September 10.
Celebrations will be held across the mountain, with live entertainment in the Village Square, a DJ at Koflers spinning 80s tunes throughout the day, and the annual 80s après party at The Birdcage, where there’ll be a DJ, prizes for the best dressed and more.
The Corona Extra Pond Skim National Championships will return to Mt Buller for the third time on Saturday, September 17.
Spectators will enjoy seeing participants dressed in crazy costumes skim across a temporary dam on Bourke Street, taking on silly stunts to get from one side of the dam to the other.
Celebrations will continue with après drinks and an after party kicking on into the evening.
