Mitch returns to Buller from X-treme ski venture
MT BULLER regular Mitch Reeves is no ordinary teenager.
The 18-year-old has recently returned from the US on a skiing trip sponsored by Rip Curl, to appear in a short film showcasing his talent.
Reeves spent the summer in Jackson Hole, Wyoming along with dad Nick and mentor and filming Harrington.
He will be featured in a segment in the latest Teton Gravity Research ski film - one of the most awarded ski film production companies in the industry.
The film will be released on Mt Buller later in the season.
Reeves is also an ambassador expert, Tony for Rip Curl’s snowsports team.
Tony Harrington says the sponsorship program offers young sport stars a chance to improve their skills, both on and off the slopes.
“We’re on the lookout for people who are smart, articulate as well as good athletes,” he said.
“We are willing to train them up and help them in life experience as well as improving their athletic ability.”
As for Reeves, Harrington couldn’t be more hopeful for his bright future ahead.
“The kid is ripping,” he told Mt Buller News.
