Fun run supports hospital

Mt Buller News - - ON AND OFF THE SNOW -

MORE than 400 eager runners descended on Mt Buller to participate in the annual Mt Buller Mountain High Fun Run event on April 15.

As a result of this successful event the proceeds were donated to the Mansfield District Hospital’s chief executive officer Cameron Butler and Michelle Meyer – midwifery nurse unit manager, in support of the great work and tireless effort they put in to the Mansfield and surrounding community.

In total the event raised $1913 for the hospital, and this year will go directly to supporting the midwifery ward.

Mt Buller Mt Stirling group marketing manager Gill Dobson was pleased with the success of the event.

“The Mountain High Fun Run is always such a great event; we’re delighted to see the number of participants grow every year, and in turn show our support to the Mansfield District Hospital,” Ms Dobson said.

The Mountain High Fun Run is set to remain on the Mt Buller summer events calendar in 2018, so be sure to check the website for event and registration information close to the time.

WITH THANKS: Mansfield District Hospital’s CEO Cameron Butler (centre) and Michelle Meyer were pleased to accept a cheque from Mt Buller Fun Run organiser Ben Annear recently.
