MARK Ben­netts (pic­tured) is the new chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer of Mt Buller and Mt Stir­ling Re­sort Man­age­ment af­ter 14 years with RACV work­ing across a range of man­age­ment po­si­tions, most re­cently as gen­eral man­ager south­ern re­sorts, over­see­ing six re­sorts and 600 staff across Vic­to­ria and Tas­ma­nia.

Mr Ben­netts has also spent over 15 years at Shell in var­i­ous man­age­rial po­si­tions.

Chair of the Mt Buller and Mt Stir­ling Alpine Re­sort Man­age­ment Board Jac­qui Jennings said the board is look­ing for­ward to a strong and sta­ble fu­ture for the or­gan­i­sa­tion.

“We are very pleased to have Mark ac­cept the role as CEO,” said Ms Jennings.

“We were for­tu­nate to have a large num­ber of strong con­tenders for the po­si­tion, and worked through a com­pre­hen­sive re­cruit­ment process.

“Mark’s ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence in lead­er­ship, gover­nance and risk man­age­ment, as well as proven track record in ac­com­mo­da­tion and hospi­tal­ity en­sures he is well placed to guide the re­sorts and the team into the fu­ture.”
