Mountain skiing all part of school
ONE of the many privileges to schooling in this area is the comprehensive skiing programs offered at all schools.
It doesn’t matter if your child likes to hit the cross country slopes on Mount Stirling, likes to shred it up on a board on Buller or prefers the adrenalin rush offered by downhill skiing on Bourke Street, students are offered a skiing program from very early on in their primary school life.
Such was the case last week when the bus loads of local students headed up the mountain to Mt Buller as Merrijig, Jamieson, Mansfield, Steiner and St Mary’s students all commenced their skiing programs.
Students from the Mansfield Secondary College began their program late last month.
