DANCE NIGHT AWAY TO CLASSICS
THE Black Sorrows are touring again and the iconic ‘80s band are heading to Rooty Hill RSL.
Get ready to move and groove to the sounds of their multi-platinum tracks Hold On To Me, Harley and Rose and The Chosen Ones.
If you’re in need of a night out away from the kids, why not enjoy a date night with the band’s newest line-up.
The band has seen more than 40 Australian artists join their ranks during three decades of blues.
This year, the line-up consists of Claude Carranza on guitar/vocals, Mark Gray on bass/vocals, John McAll on keyboards/vocals and Angus Burchall on drums.
The band’s only constant member is the great Joe Camilleri who was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007.
With more than 50 years in the music business, it is no wonder both Elvis Costello and John Denver have previously covered his songs. WHAT: The Black Sorrows WHEN: Friday, June 5 TIME: 8pm COST: $35 WHERE: 55 Sherbrooke St, Rooty Hill DETAILS: rootyhillrsl.com.au or phone 9625 5500

“I tip my hat to the spirit of these artists who have inspired me and give the songs another opportunity to be heard,” Camilleri said.
“I’m a disciple and it’s a bit of soul food.”
The show will feature the very best of The Black Sorrows from 8pm on Friday night.
