A man has been charged af­ter he al­legedly used of­fen­sive lan­guage, as­saulted po­lice and re­sisted ar­rest as he was es­corted from Plump­ton Mar­ket­place on Sun­day. Po­lice were con­duct­ing pa­trols when they al­legedly heard the Kellyville man, 29, yelling pro­fan­i­ties loudly on the phone in front of a group of peo­ple. It is fur­ther al­leged when po­lice asked him to stop swear­ing, he made sev­eral threats to po­lice. He is due to face Mt Druitt Court on July 9.


OX­LEY PARK A man, 33, has been charged in re­la­tion to a rob­bery at an Ox­ley Park busi­ness where a man threat­ened peo­ple with a stun gun. About 6.50am last Tues­day, it is al­leged that a man armed with a taser en­tered a busi­ness on Syd­ney St, where he con­fronted a staff mem­ber and made de­mands. The woman handed over money be­fore he al­legedly ran and drove away in a sil­ver ve­hi­cle. About 8.40am, po­lice were pa­trolling Bennett Rd at St Clair when they stopped a car and ar­rested the driver. It is al­leged dur­ing a search of the ve­hi­cle, po­lice found a stun gun-type de­vice and pro­hib­ited drugs. The man was set to face court yes­ter­day.
