SIMPLE PRECAUTIONS CAN WARD OFF THEFT

Mt Druitt - St Mary's Standard (East) - - NEWS -

We are seeing a rise in car thefts and break-ins, particularly at Ropes Crossing, Bidwill, Mt Druitt and Glendenning. Owners should try to ensure the safety of their cars and the property inside them. By taking simple preventive measures, the chances of becoming a victim are greatly diminished. When you park and leave your car, it is a good idea to do a quick check. Ensure the surrounding area is well lit at night, personal valuables are stored out of sight or taken from the vehicle, and doors and windows are locked. Thieves usually steal items like MP3 players, mobile phones, cash, laptops, GPS devices, CDs and CD players. Mt Druitt police commander Superintendent Jeff Philippi
