Queen wasted trip

Mt Druitt - St Mary's Standard (East) - - NEWS -

RE: “Wounded by cutback,” ( Mt Druitt-St Marys Standard, May 27).

It was a great hospital in its time but now only the kids’ unit is there.

I’m guessing (it won’t be) for long once Blacktown Hospital has finished its revamp (as the cardiac unit moved to Blacktown).

I can see it being used for a specialist centre and when that phase is finished, bulldozed down for highrise units.

Queen Elizabeth came out for nothing when she opened the hospital. JENI MANCZAK-SMITH,

via Facebook tional again; it was a fantastic hospital when it was.

I would rather go here than any other hospital.

They have saved so many lives, including mine, many times.

There should be more funding available to upgrade it.

I don’t like the fact that Blacktown Hospital seems to get a lot of the funds due to its revamp.

Mt Druitt, which has a very high population, and its surrounding areas, seems to draw the back end of the straw all the time. ROS DIVALL, via Facebook
