Tackle ice from top

Mt Druitt - St Mary's Standard (East) - - NEWS -

RE: “Focus on kids in ice fight”, ( Mt Druitt-St Marys Standard, June 10).

Perhaps arresting the drug dealers selling the stuff and giving them much harsher penalties would be a start. The problem is some kids are weak and they see the world as stressful.

Then they start on marijuana then go to stronger stuff. Some kids come from good families.

There’s always that one child that goes astray, however. Becoming addicted to these drugs is so harmful to themselves and their loved ones.

Definitely (including) some edu- cation in schools and awful pictures of what it does to users and how it affects their families physically and mentally might get through to some kids.

Yes life is tough and stressful at times for us all but it doesn’t mean we have to turn to drugs. It only makes people go into a very black dark hole that one can’t get out off. Only in death when addiction takes over. Very sad. Steps need to be taken for our youth.
