AUS­TRALIA’S coun­try mu­sic icon Beccy Cole will be bring­ing her new book and al­bum to Rooty Hill RSL on Satur­day.

Cole is renown for her hon­esty, which she said al­lowed her to res­onate with au­di­ences around Aus­tralia and the world.

Her tenth and most re­cent al­bum Sweet Re­becca fea­tures col­lab­o­ra­tions with the likes of Melinda Sch­nei­der and Cole’s part­ner Libby O’Dono­van.

Since win­ning the Toy­ota Star Maker in 1993, Cole has shared the stage with greats in­clud­ing Slim Dusty, Wil­lie Nel­son, Lee Ker­naghan and Kenny Rogers.

For­ever etched in our history as one of the coun­try’s most pro­fi­cient artists, Cole said her show would be a mix of golden oldies and fresh new songs.

“It’s al­ways been my pol­icy to change it up ev­ery tour,” Cole said.

The nine-time golden guitar win­ning singer has re­cently fin­ished writ­ing her mem­oirs, Poster Girl.

Cole said the memoir fea­tured the same can­did­ness she has on stage.

“I think peo­ple ap­pre­ci­ate hon­esty,” Cole said.

“I speak quite can­didly about things like do­mes­tic vi­o­lence.”

The book will be avail­able for pur­chase at the Rooty Hill show along­side her tenth al­bum Sweet Re­becca.

Tick­ets cost $30 per adult and $15 for chil­dren over six.
