House of magic for Steve and Tiana
STEVE and Tiana Falzon have made it to the top four on House Rules.
Last week, all teams had to renovate an old Queenslander into a dream holiday house, to be won by a viewer.
The NSW team was assigned the main bedroom, laundry, veranda and a children’s outdoor “magical hideaway”, which was highly commended by the judges.
“We are always our harshest critics when it comes to design and our finished product, so looking around we expected that everyone else had done a better job than us,” Ms Falzon said.
“When we got two nines (out of 20) and were told that we were safe, we were ecstatic,” she said.
Also this week, the duo recreated the Queensland team’s front yard and tied for second place.
Meanwhile, two teams transformed Mr Falzon’s front and back yards, and he said he was blown away.
“When (Dad) gets home from work and on weekends, outside is where he spends most of his time,” Ms Falzon said. “So I wanted to make it to the garden rounds just for him to have a special place.”
