Gymnast is on a roll
YOUNG Koralee Catlett is not afraid to aim high despite her youth.
The 10-year-old gymnast is the Australian national champion in the tumble discipline and already has her sights set on next year’s nationals to defend her title.
The Junior Sports Star nominee also placed second in the double mini trampoline and took home a bronze medal in trampoline at the national competition in May.
While next year she will jump into a new age bracket, the gymnast from Rooty Hill said she was keen for the challenge.
“I like the trampoline and tumble because we get to learn lots of new tricks and we make lots of new friends,” Koralee said.
With Sam Palmer as her inspiration, Koralee said she wanted to emulate the world champion tumbler’s work ethic.
“She (Palmer) inspires me with her hard work that she puts in and her dedication,” she said.
Nominations for the 2015 NewsLocal Junior Sports Star Awards close October 23. The awards are sponsored by Rebel.
