in grant fund­ing will be pro­vided to six com­mu­nity or­gan­i­sa­tions across NSW to sup­port the re­vi­tal­i­sa­tion of Abo­rig­i­nal lan­guages through com­mu­nity-led ini­tia­tives. Min­is­ter for Abo­rig­i­nal Af­fairs Les­lie Wil­liams an­nounced the suc­cess­ful re­cip­i­ents of the NSW Gov­ern­ment’s Our Lan­guages, Our Way grants on Sun­day to mark the be­gin­ning of Naidoc Week, which runs from July 5 to 12. “The grants are an im­por­tant step in the re­vi­tal­i­sa­tion of lan­guages from one of the world’s old­est cul­tures,” Mrs Wil­liams said.
