Marathon fest set to go
MARATHON enthusiasts are set to be in full stride this month for the Blacktown Running Festival.
The four-race event will get underway from Blacktown International Sportspark, in Rooty Hill, on July 26.
It is the first year the event will start and finish at the venue.
Whether it is the gruelling challenge of the full length 42km marathon, the 21km half-marathon, 10km fun run or 4km fun run, there is something for all levels.
Barbara Sellwood said she couldn’t wait to take part in the event again, albeit not in her usual distance.
“The running festival is always a great day,” she said. “This year I am carrying a bit of an injury so I can only take part in the 4km walk but it will still be great to take part and get out there with all the other runners.”
