WE ASKED WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE NEW BAN ON SMOKING IN OUTDOOR DINING AREAS I like eating outdoors. Smokers make me retch. Smokers used to smoke in cars with the windows up and kids in the back seat. If you think non-smokers have to put up with your filthy habit maybe you should watch while I pick my nose and eat it. Because that’s how non-smokers see your habit. CRAIG RICHMOND Smoking anywhere near where food or drinks are being consumed is disgusting. So it should be banned. JANELLE NICHOLLS This is so wrong. I’m a smoker; we pay for our smokes and we pay the taxes on them the government is happy raking in. It’s come to the point you just can’t smoke anywhere now – football stadiums, hospital grounds, schools, playground areas... STEVE KEARNS If the government was serious about people smoking they would ban it entirely, but they won’t because it brings in $7 billion in tax per year. We should have the right to a designated smoking section. WAYNE NEOH
