driver’s li­cence, which was found to be dis­qual­i­fied. The man was ar­rested at the scene by po­lice and is­sued with a court at­ten­dance no­tice in re­la­tion to the in­ci­dent.


Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a house fire on Tues­day, Au­gust 3. At about 8.30pm Mt Druitt po­lice were called to an aban­doned house on The Av­enue in re­la­tion to a house fire. The fire had started in the rear yard of the premises be­fore be­ing ex­tin­guished by the NSW Fire Brigade. There was no dam­age sus­tained to the premises as a re­sult of the fire but po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent.


ST CLAIR Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses to come for­ward af­ter chil­dren were ap­proached on Sun­day, Au­gust 2. About 4.45pm seven chil­dren aged be­tween 7 and 12 were play­ing around Solan­der Drive and Ro­torua Rd, St Clair, when a man ap­proached them and spoke to them. As the chil­dren walked away from the man, he fol­lowed them. One child, aged 12, be­came afraid and walked home to tell his mother, who called po­lice. Of­fi­cers from St Marys Lo­cal Area Com­mand have com­menced an in­ves­ti­ga­tion and po­lice would like to speak to a man who may be able to as­sist with in­quiries. He was de­scribed as be­ing of cau­casian ap­pear­ance, aged be­tween 20 and 30, ap­prox­i­mately 175cm tall, of a large build, with short black hair and crooked teeth.
