Police are investigating a house fire on Tuesday, August 3. At about 8.30pm Mt Druitt police were called to an abandoned house on The Avenue in relation to a house fire. The fire had started in the rear yard of the premises before being extinguished by the NSW Fire Brigade. There was no damage sustained to the premises as a result of the fire but police are investigating the incident.
ST CLAIR Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after children were approached on Sunday, August 2. About 4.45pm seven children aged between 7 and 12 were playing around Solander Drive and Rotorua Rd, St Clair, when a man approached them and spoke to them. As the children walked away from the man, he followed them. One child, aged 12, became afraid and walked home to tell his mother, who called police. Officers from St Marys Local Area Command have commenced an investigation and police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries. He was described as being of caucasian appearance, aged between 20 and 30, approximately 175cm tall, of a large build, with short black hair and crooked teeth.
