Elly on song for school’s talent show
LOYOLA Senior High School will host The
Voice 2014 finalist Elly Oh at its own talent show on Tuesday night.
Fifteen students will battle it out to win the approval of the judges and the audience, who will vote for a winner by donating cash to the St Vincent de Paul Society.
Students will perform for three judges who each have a nominated St Vinnies project they are fundraising for.
The talent show coincides with St Vinnies’ weekend doorknock appeal, which starts on Saturday.
The night will also include a special performance by Oh, which was organised through the school’s singing teacher, who is also Oh’s back-up singer.
Loyola St Vinnies co-ordinator Mary Reyes said the talent show was designed to be a fun way to encourage people and students to put their talent and money to good use.
“Each of the students will use their talent to create a change in their world,” Ms Reyes said.
Tickets cost $5 and all proceeds will go to the St Vincent de Paul Society.
The show will run from 5.30-9pm, at Loyola Senior High School, 91 North Pde, Mt Druitt.
