Mt Druitt Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a theft at Bun­nings Ware­house in Minch­in­bury. At about 1.30am on Mon­day, thieves forced en­try into the store and re­moved a large num­ber of power tools. A num­ber of cord­less drills and other ac­ces­sories were stolen. If you can help, call Mt Druitt po­lice on 9675 6990.


A Will­mot man, 20, will face Mt Druitt Court charged with pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited drug and cus­tody of a knife. At about 4.10pm on Au­gust 10, po­lice were con­duct­ing pa­trols of the Will­mot area when they saw the man on Cap­tain Cook Drive. Po­lice searched the man and al­legedly found a knife and a sub­stance be­lieved to be metham­phetamine. The man will ap­pear in court at a later date.


A man, 42, has been charged with lowrange drink-driv­ing. At about 1.20am on Fri­day, St Marys po­lice were trav­el­ling along Parkes Ave at Wer­ring­ton when they stopped a red Holden sedan. The driver, a man, 42, was sub­jected to a breath test, which al­legedly re­turned a pos­i­tive read­ing of 0.071. The driver is ex­pected to face Pen­rith Court on Septem­ber 14.


ST MARYS An in­quiry will con­tinue into a break and en­ter at St Marys on Sun­day. Shortly af­ter 3.30pm, po­lice were called to a prop­erty in Glos­sop St af­ter re­ports of a man try­ing to steal prop­erty from a garage and as­sault­ing a res­i­dent. Po­lice ar­rived and ar­rested a man, 32, who was ques­tioned. He was later re­leased pend­ing fur­ther in­quiries.


MARYS A man, 22, will face court next week charged with re­sist­ing po­lice. At about 1.15am on Fri­day, it is al­leged the man went to St Marys po­lice sta­tion in a taxi be­fore be­com­ing in­volved in a dis­pute and threat­en­ing the driver. Po­lice spoke with the man as the taxi left and is­sued a di­rec­tion for him to leave the area, but the man al­legedly re­fused. He re­mained in the area for a short time be­fore he is al­leged to have at­tempted to dam­age a nearby parked ve­hi­cle by punch­ing the win­dows. He was re­strained and, af­ter a short strug­gle, was placed un­der ar­rest. The man was later is­sued with court at­ten­dance no­tices for the of­fences of re­fus­ing/fail­ing to com­ply with di­rec­tion and re­sist­ing an of­fi­cer in ex­e­cu­tion of duty. He is ex­pected to ap­pear at Pen­rith Court next Fri­day.


Mt Druitt po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a crash be­tween a car and a cy­clist in Shalvey. At about 7.40am on Au­gust 10, a 50-year-old Shalvey woman was driv­ing her car along Emer­son Pde. As she at­tempted a left-hand turn onto Hoad Place, she col­lided with the cy­clist, a Bid­will woman, 53. Po­lice and paramedics ar­rived soon af­ter the in­ci­dent and the rider was taken to West­mead Hos­pi­tal


PARK An Ox­ley Park girl, 17, was ar­rested on Satur­day and ac­cused of shoplift­ing. At about 1.30pm, the girl en­tered a depart­ment store at West­field Mt Druitt and made her way to a num­ber
