CHARITY stores across the country will celebrate National Op Shop Week from Sunday.
Mt Druitt-St Marys Standard reporters Alison Balding and Danielle Jarvis, however, decided to get in early.
Carrying $20 each, they visited the Salvation Army store at 4 Archbold Rd, Minchinbury, to buy a great quality outfit.
They found the store had everything from formal wear to sleepwear.
Store manager Mita Barot said there could be at least 12,000 garments on sale in the shop at any one time.
“There is so much variety to choose from at great prices and you can support a charity,” Mrs Barot said.
Ms Balding walked away $3 under budget, after choosing a vibrant blue dress ($15) and an all-seasons maroon scarf ($2).
