al­legedly de­tected driv­ing at 154km/h in a 70km/h zone on For­rester Rd. The driver was stopped and spo­ken to by po­lice, pro­vid­ing a pro­vi­sional driver’s li­cence. The driver was then breath tested, which was neg­a­tive, then al­legedly pro­duced a pos­i­tive de­tec­tion to metham­phetamine from a saliva test. The driver was taken to a nearby ran­dom drug test­ing bus, where he un­der­went a sec­ondary test which al­legedly re­turned a pos­i­tive re­sult. He was is­sued with two fines for ex­ceed­ing speed by more than 45km/h and for not com­ply­ing with a pro­vi­sional li­cence con­di­tion of dis­play­ing P-plates. His driver’s li­cence was also sus­pended for six months.


A man has been charged over an al­leged do­mes­ti­cre­lated stab­bing at North St Marys last week. About 7.30am last Tues­day, a man and woman be­came in­volved in an ar­gu­ment in­side a home on Maple Rd. It is al­leged the man stabbed the woman in the up­per arm. The pair went to Ne­pean Hos­pi­tal where the woman, 53, was treated. St Marys po­lice ar­rested a man, 62, at the home about 11am on Satur­day. He is due to face Pen­rith Court on Tues­day.


ERSK­INE PARK An Ersk­ine Park man, 22, has been charged with seven of­fences in­clud­ing Skye’s Law. About 12.20pm on Satur­day, po­lice fol­lowed a white Holden Com­modore into a carpark at Short St at Camp­bell­town to breath test the driver. As the po­lice car ap­proached the parked ve­hi­cle, the other car al­legedly re­versed into the po­lice car and drove away. Of­fi­cers said they gave chase when the Com­modore al­legedly drove out of the carpark at high speed. Of­fi­cers fol­lowed the car through the Camp­bell­town area, where it was al­legedly seen to travel the wrong way in var­i­ous streets, caus­ing on­com­ing ve­hi­cles to take eva­sive ac­tion. It is also al­leged the car was driven er­rat­i­cally, which in­cluded go­ing through red lights. Po­lice ter­mi­nated the pur­suit and made in­quiries with the reg­is­tered owner and ar­rested the al­leged driver, of Ersk­ine Park.


ST MARYS St Marys po­lice have charged a man, 23, af­ter a pizza de­liv­ery driver was al­legedly robbed at Kingswood just af­ter 5.20pm on Wed­nes­day. The man, 37, tried to de­liver to a Rodgers St unit when he was al­legedly threat­ened with a ma­chete.
