allegedly detected driving at 154km/h in a 70km/h zone on Forrester Rd. The driver was stopped and spoken to by police, providing a provisional driver’s licence. The driver was then breath tested, which was negative, then allegedly produced a positive detection to methamphetamine from a saliva test. The driver was taken to a nearby random drug testing bus, where he underwent a secondary test which allegedly returned a positive result. He was issued with two fines for exceeding speed by more than 45km/h and for not complying with a provisional licence condition of displaying P-plates. His driver’s licence was also suspended for six months.
A man has been charged over an alleged domesticrelated stabbing at North St Marys last week. About 7.30am last Tuesday, a man and woman became involved in an argument inside a home on Maple Rd. It is alleged the man stabbed the woman in the upper arm. The pair went to Nepean Hospital where the woman, 53, was treated. St Marys police arrested a man, 62, at the home about 11am on Saturday. He is due to face Penrith Court on Tuesday.
ERSKINE PARK An Erskine Park man, 22, has been charged with seven offences including Skye’s Law. About 12.20pm on Saturday, police followed a white Holden Commodore into a carpark at Short St at Campbelltown to breath test the driver. As the police car approached the parked vehicle, the other car allegedly reversed into the police car and drove away. Officers said they gave chase when the Commodore allegedly drove out of the carpark at high speed. Officers followed the car through the Campbelltown area, where it was allegedly seen to travel the wrong way in various streets, causing oncoming vehicles to take evasive action. It is also alleged the car was driven erratically, which included going through red lights. Police terminated the pursuit and made inquiries with the registered owner and arrested the alleged driver, of Erskine Park.
ST MARYS St Marys police have charged a man, 23, after a pizza delivery driver was allegedly robbed at Kingswood just after 5.20pm on Wednesday. The man, 37, tried to deliver to a Rodgers St unit when he was allegedly threatened with a machete.
