Thinking player always tries to be best he can

“He is the ultimate competitor. He is a kid where just playing a sport isn’t good enough. He wants to be the best at it, whatever it is,” Mr Te Puia said.
“He took out player of the tournament for the state championships in Oztag this year and, considering there would have been thousands of kids, that was pretty awesome.
“He’s just a good football player, (he has a) good kicking game and he’s got a good head on his shoulders – he’s a real thinker.”
Last year, Carlos scored two tries in his school’s first PSSA Junior Rugby League grand final win.
While he is well-known on the field, the youngster does not seek the spotlight but just enjoys playing.
“I like playing with my friends,” Carlos said.
He said he wanted to be a professional league player like (New Zealand Warriors’) Shaun Johnson.
