Check out examples of a signwriter’s work before hiring them for the job.

Discuss any ideas or colour preferences with the signwriter before you give the nod for work to start. It’s important that you have a shared vision for the way you expect the sign to look.

Show the signwriter any mock-ups or designs you have created.

Plan ahead. Signs can take a while to create, especially traditional signs. It is best to contact a signcraft company many weeks before you expect work to be completed.

Ask the signwriter to mock up a few different examples of a sign so you can choose from a variety of options.

Be prepared for plans to change. If the weather is bad, an outside project may have to put on hold until the sun comes out.
