AT ONLY 19, Robert “Bob” Ingleton has led his basketball side to a record-breaking winning streak.

His dedication and passion for the sport was noticed by his trainer Thomas Reid, who nominated him for News Local’s Service to Sport award. Ingleton spends all his spare time volunteering and coaching for the St Clair Basketball Club, which he joined almost 10 years ago. As coach, Ingleton guided the under-16 men’s team to a recordbreaking three seasons, and 50 games with only one loss.

Reid described Ingleton as a club favourite who pro- duced great results. “Bob displays wisdom beyond his age and is always willing to step in and help without any questions asked,” he said.
