De­tec­tive Su­per­in­ten­dent Karen Webb, from Spe­cial Oper­a­tions, at­tended as a spe­cial guest fresh from run­ning a suc­cess­ful cel­e­bra­tory se­ries to mark 100 years of women in polic­ing.

She re­called her ex­pe­ri­ences with of­fi­cers at Mt Druitt early in her ca­reer.

“Po­lice who work in Mt Druitt have a spe­cial ca­ma­raderie; if I could patent it I would,” she said.
