“I re­mem­ber see­ing the dis­plays at the Syd­ney Royal Easter Show where peo­ple could vote for which school would get the gar­den and could vote be­tween two de­signs,” Mrs Dou­glas said.

“It is a great cen­tre, very de­serv­ing.”

The Mar­garet Druitt Day Care Cen­tre pro­vides sub­sidised long-day care for fam­i­lies ex­pe­ri­enc­ing dis­ad­van­tages and cares for chil­dren aged two to five from Mt Druitt, Emer­ton and sur­round­ing ar­eas.
