Too grotty to save
RE: “Plan to create a new hub,” ( Mt Druitt-St Marys Standard, September 9).
I can’t walk that stretch without someone trying to bum a dollar or having pushy backpackers trying to get you to donate to charities.
It feels grotty (and) if the banks and hairdressers weren’t there, I’d never go at all.
However, there is no point wasting money on this.
Maybe (Penrith Council) should write it off as a necessary evil and leave it as it is.
Please don’t waste any money on this.
It’s better to spend this money on the parklands, on trees, dog parks bike tracks, clean-ups and conservation. DAVID JOHNSON,
