LES Neville has been involved with the Brothers Junior Rugby League Club since he can remember.

Volunteering to coach the under-12s team, Neville also works on the committee and judiciary.

But earlier this year a heart attack put the Lethbridge Park resident’s time at the club on hold. Neville’s dedication to the club earned him a Service to Sport nomination.

His daughter Nicole said: “After Dad’s heart attack this year, he was worried about his team and his club. ”

Neville has been coaching with Brothers for the past three years.

Despite his busy schedule, he also works in the canteen, runs barbecues and even picks up kids when their parents can’t make the games or training sessions.

“All my kids and my grandkids are with Brothers — after I came back from being in hospital this year all the kids ran up to give me a big hug it was great to see,” Neville said.
