IT IS time to party with the Gurus on Saturday night at the Blue Cattle Dog Hotel in St Clair.

Former Parramatta rugby league star Eric Grothe Sr and his band Eric Grothe and the Gurus are heading to Western Sydney to perform their legendary live show.

He later turned to his passion for music.

While the name Gurus is likely in reference to Grothe’s days on the field, the group has origins from Sydney bands Three Day Grothe, and Dave Gleeson and His Band The Stilsons.

This weekend, Australia’s Got Talent finalist Mike Vee will join the band as a special guest vocalist, ensuring the show is not one to be missed.
