Change clocks this week

Res­i­dents are be­ing re­minded to change their clocks this long week­end for day­light sav­ing. Peo­ple should turn their clocks and dig­i­tal de­vices one hour for­ward at 2am on Sun­day. Day­light sav­ing started op­er­at­ing dur­ing WWI from Jan­uary 1, 1917, to March 25 the same year and also dur­ing WWII for three sum­mers, be­gin­ning on Jan­uary 1, 1942. It was again in­tro­duced on Oc­to­ber 31, 1971. For fu­ture sum­mers, day­light sav­ing in NSW be­gins at 2am on the first Sun­day in Oc­to­ber and ends at 3am on the first Sun­day in April.
