Smart to do it online

I understand offering up your personal time is a big sacrifice for those who choose to serve their communities in public office. It interferes with family life and, for many, their careers/businesses.
All research and meetings can be conducted online now. The internet is what the rest of us use for exchanging ideas and we, the rate payers, should not be expected to pay for research field trips for council workers or volunteers outside NSW.
Unless we are exchanging something physical and tangible, information can be shared via the web.
