TAKE EXTRA CARE AS WEATHER HEATS UP

Mt Druitt - St Mary's Standard (East) - - NEWS -

With the warmer weather approaching, I would like to remind residents of the dangers of leaving children and animals in vehicles. The temperature inside a closed vehicle on an average day can reach as much as 30C-40C hotter than the outside temperature. When travelling in cars ensure children in the rear seats are well hydrated. Never leave a child in a vehicle without adult supervision. On every trip, regardless of the length, take time to check and adjust your children’s harness to ensure it fits. Regularly have your vehicle serviced to ensure the effective operation of the airconditioning system. Mt Druitt crime prevention officer
