Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a crash at St Clair on Satur­day morn­ing. About 9pm, emer­gency ser­vices were called to the in­ter­sec­tion of Mamre Rd and Banks Drive af­ter a Ford util­ity and a Hyundai sedan col­lided. The Hyundai driver, a War­wick Farm man, 37, was taken to hos­pi­tal with chest in­juries and the driver of the Ford, a St Clair man, 49, was treated by paramedics at the scene. In­ves­ti­ga­tions con­tinue.


A man was charged on Oc­to­ber 7 af­ter three homes were al­legedly bro­ken into and ran­sacked last week. Po­lice will al­lege a Doon­side man, 26, broke into homes on Coveny St and Mil­son Rd and stole sev­eral items be­tween Septem­ber 26 and 28. He was charged with three counts of break and en­ter, to face Black­town Court on Oc­to­ber 30.


Two girls were left fright­ened af­ter a man ap­proached them as they played out the front of an Eg­gle­ton St unit block on Oc­to­ber 7. Be­tween 4pm and 4.30pm, the two 12-year-old girls were play­ing out­side when a man al­legedly drove past and stared at them. He al­legedly re­peated this. One girl ran in­side and got her mother. The man al­legedly ap­proached the other girl to start a con­ver­sa­tion. He is de­scribed as be­ing cau­casian with brown hair.
