THE NSW Blues have defeated the WA Warriors by an impressive 75 runs in the Matador Cup at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday.

Cricket NSW spokesman Sudesh Arudpragasam said the pair set the standard for the rest of the match.

“It was a dominant performance by NSW from the start,” Arudpragasam said.

“The opening batsman set the platform at the start of the match, with Ed Cowan going on to score 100.”

The Blues finished with an impressive 5/264 before sending WA in to bat. The Warriors fought back but were no match for the strong Blues side, leaving them all out for 189.
