WALKING around the playground, it is easy to see that Bobby Harrison has something special.

The Mt Druitt resident, who attends Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School, was praised by a dozen kids while The Standard visited on Monday — and for good reason.

Bobby, 15, has been selected from more than 500 students to be a feature artist in the 2015 Schools Spectacular.

He will perform Michael Buble’s Come Dance With Me solo and play the trumpet.

“I am feeling pretty excited. I always get nervous before I perform and then settle in. The adrenaline of performing is an experience you can’t get with anything else. It feels really good,” Bobby said.

The performer got involved in the arts at a young age.

“I was learning the piano at first, then I was introduced to trumpet when I was six – I have loved it ever since,” he said.

The 2015 School Spectacular will be held at the Qantas Credit Union Arena on November 27 and 28.
