Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing af­ter a man was stabbed out­side a func­tion at St Marys. About 11.15pm on Fri­day, po­lice were called to the premises on Queen St af­ter re­ports of a brawl. Po­lice ar­rived to find a 25-year-old man with a stab wound to his arm, and a punc­ture wound to his ab­domen. He was taken to West­mead Hospi­tal for treat­ment. His in­juries were not life threat­en­ing. De­spite a large amount of peo­ple in the area at the time, no wit­nesses have come for­ward to po­lice. At this stage, the of­fender has only been de­scribed a male, pos­si­bly wear­ing a white sin­glet. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion is urged to call 1800 333 000.


Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses af­ter a Wha­lan home was shot at on Thurs­day night. Of­fi­cers were called to a home on Omati St, Wha­lan, about 11pm af­ter a num­ber of shots were fired at a house. There were five adults in the house at the time but no one was in­jured. A 63year-old man was later treated by paramedics for shock. Mt Druitt po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent. At this stage, the of­fend­ers have only been de­scribed as a group of males wear­ing dark cloth­ing. Po­lice be­lieve the shoot­ing was tar­geted and not ran­dom.


DRUITT A 48-year-old Leth­bridge Park man has been ar­rested for al­leged shoplift­ing at West­field Mt Druitt. About 2pm on Mon­day, the man en­tered a su­per­mar­ket within the shop­ping com­plex and was seen by a loss preven­tion of­fi­cer to al­legedly re­move a num­ber of items from dis­play shelves within the store, con­ceal­ing them and walk­ing out with­out pay­ing. The man faces a pos­si­ble fine as in­ves­ti­ga­tions con­tinue.


Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a car fire at Glen­den­ning. On Sun­day, a 33year-old woman parked her car in the drive­way of her Wood­ley Cres­cent home when she was wo­ken by a dog bark­ing about mid­night. She looked out her win­dow to see her car alight. Fire and Res­cue NSW ex­tin­guished the blaze.


Mt Druitt po­lice have seized items be­lieved to have been stolen from a home at Glen­den­ning. About 4.45pm on Wed­nes­day po­lice raided a Sa­man­tha Cres­cent home due to an on­go­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tion into a num­ber of ag­gra­vated break and en­ter and fraud in­ci­dents. In­ves­ti­ga­tions con­tinue.


Po­lice have ar­rested a Black­ett man, 21, af­ter he was al­legedly found with drugs and a knife. About 11.30pm on Wed­nes­day, po­lice stopped a car on Keesing Cres­cent, when it is al­leged the man tried to run. Po­lice searched him and al­legedly found a small bag con­tain­ing a crys­tal sub­stance be­lieved to be methy­lam­phetamine. Of­fi­cers will also al­lege they found a knife in the man’s pocket. MINCHINBURY Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing fol­low­ing a sin­gle-ve­hi­cle crash in Minchinbury on Sun­day night. About 6.20pm, emer­gency ser­vices were called to Sar­gents Rd fol­low­ing re­ports a Ford had crashed into a pedes­trian bridge be­fore catch­ing on fire. A man, aged 44, was freed from the ve­hi­cle and helped by paramedics. He was the only oc­cu­pant of the car. He was taken to West­mead Hospi­tal, suf­fer­ing leg and arm in­juries, be­fore be­ing trans­ferred to Royal North Shore Hospi­tal. Fire and Res­cue NSW crews ex­tin­guished the fire.
