Thrills and chills for kids
CHILDREN are in for a spooky treat as Willmot Hub gets transformed into a haunted house on the eve of Halloween.
Everyone is invited to step inside the creepy creation from 3.30-5.30pm on Friday, October 30.
There will be a range of activities from crafts to games and a pinata full of treats.
The Willmot Community Group has joined forces with Willmot Public School, Gra- ceades Community CottageWillmot Community Hub and Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets to provide the free event.
Children can get their faces painted and take some happy (or spooky) snaps in the photo booth.
There will be lucky door prizes, and fancy dress prizes for boys and girls in three age categories.
Organiser Peta Kennedy said she was excited to see the reactions when they convert the popular hub into a haunted house.
“We aren’t just decorating the hall but the front area inside the fence as well,” Mrs Kennedy said.
“I can’t wait to see the kids’ reactions, they are going to have so much fun.
“It’s just a fun way to get all of the community together.”
The hub is located on Carteret Avenue at Willmot.
