Night racing returns to Canterbury
NIGHT racing returns to Canterbury Park on Friday with a seven-race program.
Racing under lights is a spectacular sight and Canterbury lends itself to night racing given the proximity of the crowd to the track.
There are only four night meetings this season, one a month through to January.
The Friday night meeting at Canterbury coincides with the Group 1 Manikato Stakes program at Moonee Valley.
Canterbury isn’t used often for Saturday meetings but the Australian Turf Club has programmed two meetings at the popular venue on November 7 and January 9. TRACK STAYS GOOD ROYAL Randwick has its fourth consecutive Sydney Saturday this weekend.
