Jodeci has huge year

JODECI Lau­mua, from St Marys, is a ju­nior sports star to watch.

The 15-year-old has as­tounded both the worlds of rugby league and Aus­tralian rules this year, hav­ing been se­lected for the Pen­rith Pan­thers de­vel­op­ment squad and scouted by the GWS gi­ants.

Af­ter a suc­cess­ful year of rugby league in 2014, Jodeci was ap­proached by the GWS Gi­ants to play AFL, and came away with two grand fi­nal wins and the play­ers’ player medal.

Jodeci has been nom­i­nated for the Ju­nior Sports Star award by his mother Tagi Teao, who ad­mired his ded­i­ca­tion.

“Jodeci has worked ex­tremely hard this year, jug­gling two train­ing ses­sions for league and two for AFL plus train­ing an un­der-6s team and school,” she said.
