– LISA JAY the right thing, only to find we were absolutely packed.”

They offer gowns of all shapes and sizes off the rack, with prices ranging from $399 to $3000.

“Most sell for about $1500, the $3000 is just for one particular dress with Swarovski crystals,” Ms Jay said.

“Having to pay $5000 for a dress is pathetic. We keep prices down and show you can still have a gorgeous dress.”

All gowns in the store are designed and styled by Ms Jay, who has the gowns made overseas.

Since opening, she said she had provided dresses to more than 200 brides.

Her shop also stocks a range of accessories from veils, tiaras and other head pieces.

“We also offer a few months lay-by to help our brides who can’t pay it all on one day,” she said.

While Ms Jay is yet to walk the aisle herself, her leap into the bridal industry was one she calls fate.

“I remember seven years ago walking into a bridal shop with my cousin and thinking I needed to be there,” she said.
